Mail and Telephone Orders
eSelect plus is able to process card not present transactions including eCommerce, and Mail Order Telephone Order. By using the payment gateway to get real-time approvals for customer credit card purchases, merchants are able to increase efficiencies in the order fulfillment process by eliminating customer call-backs often required when transactions are declined or card numbers are entered incorrectly.
Two Ways to Process
Depending upon the level of integration desired, merchants might choose to process transactions via the easy-to-use virtual terminal interface or perform a more custom integration to process transactions through your own order management system via one of Moneris’ published Application Program Interfaces (APIs).
Virtual Terminal
The virtual terminal screen is a simple means of providing Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) with the ability to process transactions with a minimum of technical training and development. In this scenario CSRs use a PC with a web connected Internet browser to enter transaction details via an intuitive graphical user interface. Transaction approvals or declines are displayed to the CRS immediately and the results may then be communicated to the customer or entered into your Order Management System. Access to the virtual terminal is controlled by an administrative account assigned to each subscribing Moneris customer and various levels of access rights may be assigned to each user. Custom Integration
A custom integration enables a connection between the Merchant's Order Management System and eSELECTplus. The payment process is linked to the order entry and submission process. When an order is entered by the CSR, the Order Management System initiates the payment process via an Internet connection to eSELECTplus and the payment details and approvals are logged accordingly.
This integration requires technical proficiency in web based development methodologies and is accomplished using one of Moneris’ published APIs. These APIs available for download and currently support Java, Perl, PHP, COM, .NET and ColdFusion connections.
